The purpose of this project was to produce work that we felt represented us, however that may be interpreted. For myself, that involves my relationship with both fantasy and nature.
I have a deep appreciation of bees, having spent a year of my life working in a lab conducting research related to Colony Collapse Disorder. I also have always heavily enjoyed fantasy as a creative outlet and spent many years of my childhood lost in fantasy stories. Combining the two into a magical sword felt like a natural step. In the background, I utilized heather flowers since they are my German namesake.
