WanderLust Mobile Bookstore Branding Client Work
Art Deco glamour combined with floral ornamentation help produce the elegant and romantic aesthetic of a local bookstore. WanderLust is a fresh woman-run pop-up bookstore that specializes in romance novels. My aim was to capture the classical melancholic aesthetic that was desired by my clients and to incorporate vague and abstracted references to books in the design without directly using them in the logo. The red calla lillies are a known symbol of passion and the shape/composition of the logo retains a slight yonic quality. The decorative elements of the logo’s primary type ellude to open book pages and add a touch of playfulness to the brand’s aesthetic.
